Mekaela works closely alongside Holly to help create an informative and relaxed fitting appointment.
Although it may seem overwhelming, Holly and Mekaela are here to make your experience enjoyable and consider all aspects of your personal shoe requirements to ensure you are fitted correctly.
What to Expect at Your Fitting
Fittings usually last between 30-40 minutes. However, if it is your first time allow up to 1 hour.
Ensure you aren’t coming straight from a dance class as your feet may be swollen and hot, which may affect your fitting and the way the shoes fit.
Wear comfortable clothing as you will be asked to plié and rise during your fitting. This also includes either wearing convertible tights or the ballet socks provided in store, as the fitter will need to see your feet at the start of the fitting. As well as if you need to trial different padding or tapping options.
Communication with your fitter is vital in achieving the best fit possible! You may be asked lots of questions, don’t be afraid to speak up. The fitter will need as much detail as possible to find the best fit for you. It is up to you as a dancer to decide if a shoe really fits.
If this isn't your first pair of pointe shoes, bring your old pair. We would love to see how they have worn, this may lead us in a different a direction for your new pair.
